President Sargsyan: Armenian Side Has 18 Deaths and 35 Casualties
In the evening Serzh Sargsyan held a meeting of the National Security Council to discuss the grave violation of the truce of 1994 and the situation resulting from the large-scale attack against Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, as well as other issues.
Armenpress has learned from the office of the president that Serzh Sargsyan unveiled 18 deaths and 35 casualties.
Serzh Sargsyan spoke about the existing situation.
“As you know, last night, at around 3 o’clock, the Azerbaijani armed forces undertook subversive actions along the entire length of the line of contact with Nagorno-Karabakh. These are the largest-scale military actions since the truce of 1994 that the Azerbaijani armed forces attempted and are trying to implement. Thanks to the timely and professional actions of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army it was possible not only to take the situation under control but also to inflict significant losses on the enemy. In addition, over this period the enemy has used air forces, all kinds of artillery and all kinds of armored vehicles. The enemy’s losses, including air force, personnel and armored vehicles are significant. We also have losses. As of now, we have 18 deaths and around 35 casualties.”
